Summary

It is the first certifiable standard for artificial intelligence management systems. It explains how an organisation that develops, provides or uses AI systems should set policies and roles, assess the risks and impacts of systems on people and society, manage data, security, transparency and human oversight across the lifecycle, and control suppliers. It shares the structure of ISO/IEC 27001 and is used to prepare for the obligations of the EU AI Act.
