Summary

The technical report explains how to apply the IEC 61508 functional safety series and the IEC 62443 cybersecurity series together in industrial plants. It introduces the concept of a security environment in which security measures preserve safety functions, and proposes how to coordinate the two risk analyses, roles and lifecycle activities so that the measures of one do not weaken the other.
