ENCS EV-111, EV-211, EV-311 EV charging infrastructure security requirements

PublishedFree ·

Summary

It is not a formal standard but a series of public documents from ENCS, the European Network for Cyber Security of electricity grid operators, widely used in tenders for electric vehicle charging. EV-111 analyses threats to chargers, charging station management systems (CSMS) and communication networks and derives security objectives; EV-211 turns those objectives into system requirements taken from IEC 62443-3-3; EV-311 gives charge point operators the requirements to put in tenders for buying stations, based on IEC 62443-4-2. Later documents explain how to implement them with the OCPP 2.0.1 protocol and how far they cover the EN 18031 standards and the essential requirements of the Cyber Resilience Act.
