Law on Prevention and Combating of Cyber Crime (2015)

Summary

The Law sets the principles and measures to prevent and combat cybercrime in Laos and protect systems, servers and data. It lists ten offences, including unauthorised access, interception of data, system interference, forgery and destruction of data, damage caused through social media, dissemination of pornography and trading in tools for cybercrime. It assigns prevention and response duties to the Ministry of Post and Telecommunications and the Lao Computer Emergency Response Center.
