Directive (EU) 2022/2557 on the resilience of critical entities (CER Directive)
In force ·
Summary
The CER Directive strengthens the physical and non-cyber resilience of entities providing essential services in eleven sectors, including energy, transport, health and water. Member States must adopt a strategy, carry out risk assessments and identify critical entities, which in turn take resilience measures. It complements the NIS 2 Directive, which covers cybersecurity aspects.
